Habits bad for the environment
Hi guys!
By now, you’ve probably made at least a few changes to your lifestyle in the hopes of living more sustainably. But it turns out that plenty of seemingly benign habits are secretly pretty bad for the environment.
Want to make a bigger impact? Re-evaluate these small, daily choices that can harm the planet.
Buying more than you need: If you tend to be an overzealous shopper, you likely end up throwing out a handful of produce each week, which is a waste of earth’s resources. Next time in a grocery store, try to only buy what you know you will use.
Leaving water running: Leaving water running when not in use might not seem like a huge deal, but a lot of energy went into treating the water running through your faucet. Conserving water is essential to maintaining a healthy planet
Throwing out recyclables: it is easy to toss something in the trash without realizing it’s recyclable, but taking time to recycle can help the planet for years to come. Be sure to put recyclable items in the correct bin to avoid wasted opportunity to recycle.
Electricity overuse: Turning off a light bulb or two wouldn’t hurt. switching off the excessive appliances when not in use would save energy
Driving when not necessary: Switching to walking or cycling once a while for short distances is not only a health benefit, but it also serves the environment in the long run.
We are capable!….. Re-evaluating these habits indeed can foster a healthier environment. Are you interested in sharing but worried about text length? below is the same information presented in infographics.
